Anderson D. Miamen - Executive Director
Anderson D. Miamen is Executive Director of the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL) and National Coordinator of the Coalition for Transparency and Accountability in Education (COTAE). He has over ten (10) years of work experience as an anti-corruption advocate and promoter of democratic governance, rule of law, among others. He obtained a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Liberia in 2011 and is a candidate for the Masters in Regional Planning at the same University. He holds a Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Liberia Institue of Public Administration (LIPA). He has authored a number of research reports on education, mining, and corruption.
Gerald D. Yeakula, Esq. - Program Manager
Gerald D . Yeakula is a Liberian lawyer, writer, and researcher. He has over eight (8) years of experience in civil society, working on a number of themes including education, land corruption, mining corruption etc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Liberia.
William S. Tali - Finance Manager
William S. Tali is a professional accountant. With over thirteen (13) years of service at CENTAL, he is amongst the longest serving employees of the organization.
Atty. Bendu Kpoto - Legal Officer
Bendu is the Legal Officer at the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia
(CENTAL), the national chapter of Transparency International/TI. She is a Public Interest
Lawyer and advocate. She is a graduate of the College of Business and Public Administration,
University of Liberia, where she obtained a Bachelor Degree in Public Administration (BPA)
and a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University
of Liberia.
In her position as Legal Officer, she supports administrative and programmatic activities to
ensure CENTAL operates in full compliance with relevant national, regional, and International
Laws, Policies, and Guidelines governing the work of independent civil society organizations.
Bendu works closely with the Advocacy and Legal Advice Center (ALAC), an independent
platform of CENTAL which helps citizens freely report and seek redress to corruption and other
integrity issues within their institutions, communities, counties, and the country at large.
She joined CENTAL in 2020. Prior to assuming the post of Legal Officer at CENTAL, she
served as Legal Aid and Continue Legal Education Manager at Checchi and Company
Consulting, Inc. (USAID Contractor) seconded to the Liberian National Bar Association
(LNBA), and also served as Gender and Legal Aid Coordinator for Serving Humanity for
Empowerment and Development (SHED).
